I have the money, but it's from CERB (quarantine money for you anyone outside of Canada - Like EI but it was much, much more) and I just want to make sure I don't owe them any more money before I spend it all. Note 1: I can't fucking wait to buy a new mac. Photoshop from version 10.0 to version 10.0.1, and Illustrator from version 13.0.1 to version 13.0.2. I want this upgrade package to a newer version - I have InDesign version 5.0 and I want to upgrade it to version 5.0.4.
HOW TO UPDATE COMPUTER MAC EL CAPITAN MAC OS
All my data is currently on my hard drive. Hello, I have Adobe CS3 install on Mac os El Capitan 10.11.6.

(I didn't have any problems upgrading to El Capitan last time). The external hard drive that originally contained my time machine backup was erased because the hard drive was corrupted after I did a backup with my new hard drive in my ancient mac mini, so now I can't recover that data a 2nd time. I'm currently doing a disk image backup of my entire computer as I type this, and I'll probably have to wait 17 hours or so (that was how long the time machine backup took last time).ĭoes anyone know if this disk image will work to restore my mac to what it was before I fucked up? I've never done this before, but I'm hoping it'll work.
HOW TO UPDATE COMPUTER MAC EL CAPITAN HOW TO
But I'm computer saavy, so I google how to back up a hard drive from Terminal. I don't have a proper back up and my friend says to take it to a place where someone can do it for me. I tried again, but the same error occurred (I forget the error though). The mac got stuck on a grey screen, so I forced a restart and boot it into recovery mode to install the OS this way. So I download and start installing El Capitan (all without a proper time machine backup because I'm impatient and impulsive, and I didn't want to wait). Ok, so now we're today (Nov 17th, 2020), and I am tired of not having a damn clock. I managed to get the files back on my hard drive yesterday.

So I spent the last 3 weeks recovering it all with a program. After I got my new hard drive and I backed up and reinstalled everything, my external HDD suddenly broke down, and the 1TB of files (art, photography, portfolio from the past 15 years - GONE!).

So I've had to install a tab e-clock so I can see what time it is (yes, I could look at my phone or other clock devices, but it's habit to look at the top right corner for the time). Today (and for the past week) I've been trying to get the clock enabled on the menu bar, but whenever I click the box in System Prefs, it doesn't stick. I have been having issues with my ancient mac since I got a new SSD hard drive and Yosemite OS installed (for context, my mac mini is early 2009 and doesn't support any OS later than El Capitan). Hey, so this fuck up happened about 10 minutes ago.
